Jesus responded,“ Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham.

耶穌曰：『救恩臨於此宅、即在今日！夫彼亦亞伯漢之後也。

Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

Jesus said to Zacchaeus,“ Today salvation has come to your house. You are a member of Abraham’s family line.

And Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.

“ Today salvation has come to this house,” Jesus told him,“ because he too is a son of Abraham.

And Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham.

And Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;

And Jesus said unto him, To- day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

“ Today salvation has come to this house,” Jesus told him,“ because he too is a son of Abraham.

Then Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this household, because he too is a son of Abraham!

Jesus said to him,“ Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.

The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.

This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?”

So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.

Circumcision was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous— even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are counted as righteous because of their faith.And Abraham is also the spiritual father of those who have been circumcised, but only if they have the same kind of faith Abraham had before he was circumcised.

And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Then he brought them out and asked,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They replied,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household.

I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said,“ He told me everything I ever did!”When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days,long enough for many more to hear his message and believe.Then they said to the woman,“ Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.”

“ Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”

Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other,‘ We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people— none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

And note this: Some who seem least important now will be the greatest then, and some who are the greatest now will be least important then.”
