When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him,“ Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”

Nathanael said to him,“ How do you know me?” Jesus answered him,“ Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

“‘“ When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you,‘ Though you are in your blood, live!’ Yes, I said to you,‘ Though you are in your blood, live!’

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her,“ Give me a drink.”For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.The Samaritan woman therefore said to him,“ How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?”( For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

The two angels came to Sodom at evening. Lot sat in the gate of Sodom. Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them. He bowed himself with his face to the earth,and he said,“ See now, my lords, please come into your servant’s house, stay all night, wash your feet, and you can rise up early, and go on your way.” They said,“ No, but we will stay in the street all night.”He urged them greatly, and they came in with him, and entered into his house. He made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

and said,“ My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t go away from your servant.Now let a little water be fetched, wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.I will get a piece of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant.” They said,“ Very well, do as you have said.”

Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me.You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain,

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.

I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.
