A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her,“ Give Me a drink.”For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.Then the woman of Samaria said to Him,“ How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.Jesus answered and said to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.And he said,“ Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” And they said,“ No, but we will spend the night in the open square.”But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

and said,“ My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” They said,“ Do as you have said.”

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.
