“ When I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you while you were in your blood,‘ Live!’ Yes, I said to you while you were in your blood,‘ Live!’

A woman of Samaria* came to draw water. Jesus* said to her,“ Give Me a drink.”For His disciples had gone away to the city to buy food.So the Samaritan woman* said to Him,“ How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?”( For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening as Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he stood up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.And he said,“ Now behold, my lords, please turn aside into your servant’s house, and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” They said,“ No, but we shall spend the night in the public square.”Yet he strongly urged them, so they turned aside to him and entered his house; and he prepared a feast for them and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

and said,“ My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not pass Your servant by.Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet, and make yourselves comfortable under the tree;and I will bring a piece of bread, so that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant.” And they said,“ So do as you have said.”

Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away.You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

I will carefully attend to the blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.
