有一沙瑪里婦人來汲水。耶穌語之曰：『請畀予飲！』婦人對曰：『爾乃猶太人也、胡為向我沙瑪里一婦人乞飲？』蓋猶太人與沙瑪里人、素無往來、故云。耶穌應曰：『倘汝知天主之宏恩、與夫向汝求飲者之為誰、則必反以求之、而彼將予汝以活水矣！』婦曰：『先生既無汲水之具、而井又深、將何從而得活水乎？

明哉雅瑋。燭幽洞微。諳我起居。鑒我秘思。行藏出處。明察罔遺。

對於羈旅之人、亦當勉盡東道之誼；昔人有於無意中接納天神者焉。

且人子之來正欲追求迷失之人、而援救之耳。』

使基督能緣爾之信德、而寓爾心中、使爾於愛德中確立根基、

然吾儕以參贊化育之身、亦有所懇求、深望爾等莫辜負天主之恩寵。

孳孳遵大道。兢兢莫踰閑。主肯惠然臨。我心固以貞。修身以齊家。蕩滌邪與淫。痛絕虛偽習。
