有一个撒玛利亚的妇人来打水。耶稣对她说：“请你给我水喝。”（那时门徒进城买食物去了。）撒玛利亚的妇人对他说：“你既是犹太人，怎么向我一个撒玛利亚妇人要水喝呢？”原来犹太人和撒玛利亚人没有来往。耶稣回答说：“你若知道神的恩赐，和对你说‘给我水喝’的是谁，你必早求他，他也必早给了你活水。”

那两个天使晚上到了所多玛；罗得正坐在所多玛城门口，看见他们，就起来迎接，脸伏于地下拜，说：“我主啊，请你们到仆人家里洗洗脚，住一夜，清早起来再走。”他们说：“不！我们要在街上过夜。”罗得切切地请他们，他们这才进去，到他屋里。罗得为他们预备筵席，烤无酵饼，他们就吃了。

说：“我主，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要离开仆人往前去。容我拿点水来，你们洗洗脚，在树下歇息歇息。我再拿一点饼来，你们可以加添心力，然后往前去。你们既到仆人这里来，理当如此。”他们说：“就照你说的行吧。”

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。

不可忘记用爱心接待客旅；因为曾有接待客旅的，不知不觉就接待了天使。

人子来，为要寻找、拯救失丧的人。”

使基督因你们的信，住在你们心里，叫你们的爱心有根有基，

我们与神同工的，也劝你们不可徒受他的恩典。

凡你手所当做的事要尽力去做；因为在你所必去的阴间没有工作，没有谋算，没有知识，也没有智慧。

我要用智慧行完全的道。你几时到我这里来呢？我要存完全的心行在我家中。邪僻的事，我都不摆在我眼前；悖逆人所做的事，我甚恨恶，不容沾在我身上。
