Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk.And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying,“ Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men.

Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.

And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people.Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them.
