當時耶穌謂眾曰、爾執刃與梃而來執我、如捕盜然、我日偕爾坐於聖殿教誨、爾竟不執我、

經士及祭司諸長聞此、謀滅耶穌、然又懼之、因眾民奇其訓也、

耶穌與門徒復至耶路撒冷、耶穌行於聖殿、祭司諸長與經士及長老就之曰、爾以何權行此諸事、行此諸事之權誰賜爾、耶穌曰、我亦有一言問爾、請答我、則我亦告爾我以何權行此諸事、約翰之施洗、自天乎、自人乎、可答我、其人竊議曰、若云自天、彼必云、何不信之、若云自人、則又畏民、蓋眾以約翰誠為先知、遂對耶穌曰、我儕不知、耶穌曰、我亦不告爾我以何權行此諸事、

耶穌晝則在聖殿教誨、夜則出、至山名油果山而宿、庶民蚤起、入聖殿、就耶穌以聽訓、

逾越節及除酵節前二日、祭司諸長及經士共謀、以詭計執耶穌而殺之、

耶穌答曰、我顯然講道於世、常教誨在會堂、及聖殿、猶太人恆集之所、我並無言於隱者、

時祭司諸長經士、及民之長老、集於大祭司名該亞法者之院、共謀欲以詭計執耶穌殺之、

摩西豈不以律法授爾乎、但爾曹中無人守律法、何為欲殺我、

其人知耶穌設此諭、乃指己而言、欲執之而畏民、乃離之而去、○

眾復欲執之、耶穌脫其手而去、

其中有欲執之者、惟無人敢執之、

自是日後、眾相議欲殺耶穌、故耶穌不顯行於猶太人中、乃去、往近野之地、至一邑、名以法蓮、偕門徒居焉、猶太人逾越節近矣、節前、多人由鄉間上耶路撒冷、欲自潔、眾尋耶穌、立於聖殿相語曰、爾意如何、彼來守節期否、祭司諸長及法利賽人已出令、凡知耶穌所在、即當明報以執之、

我知爾為亞伯拉罕之裔、雖然、爾欲殺我、以我道不存於爾心也、我言所見於我父者、爾行所見於爾父者、眾曰、亞伯拉罕我父也、耶穌曰、爾若為亞伯拉罕之子、則必行亞伯拉罕之所行、今我以所聞於天主之真理告爾、爾反欲殺我、此非亞伯拉罕之所行、

耶穌入聖殿、教誨時、祭司諸長及民之長老、就之曰、爾以何權行此諸事、賜爾此權者誰乎、
