When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

On the next day, when the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began shouting,“ Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, indeed, the King of Israel!”

When they had approached Jerusalem and had come to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples,

Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying,“ A great prophet has appeared among us!” and,“ God has visited His people!”

And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the Lord, to celebrate and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed edom, and Jeiel, with musical instruments, harps, and lyres; also Asaph played loud sounding cymbals,and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord.

And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:“ Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel in accordance with everything that He promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised through Moses His servant.

While the whole assembly worshiped, the singers also sang and the trumpets sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.Now at the completion of the burnt offerings, the king and all who were present with him bowed down and worshiped.Moreover, King Hezekiah and the officials ordered the Levites to sing praises to the Lord with the words of David and Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with joy, and bowed down and worshiped.

And David departed from Baale judah, with all the people who were with him, to bring up from there the ark of God which is called by the Name, the very name of the Lord of armies who is enthroned above the cherubim.They had mounted the ark of God on a new cart and moved it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were leading the new cart.So they brought it with the ark of God from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Ahio was walking ahead of the ark.Meanwhile, David and all the house of Israel were celebrating before the Lord with all kinds of instruments made of juniper wood, and with lyres, harps, tambourines, castanets, and cymbals.But when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached out toward the ark of God and took hold of it, because the oxen nearly overturned it.

Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying:“ I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.The Lord is a warrior; The Lord is His name.Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has thrown into the sea; And the choicest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea.The waters cover them; They went down into the depths like a stone.Your right hand, Lord, is majestic in power; Your right hand, Lord, destroys the enemy.And in the greatness of Your excellence You overthrow those who rise up against You; You send out Your burning anger, and it consumes them like chaff.At the blast of Your nostrils the waters were piled up, The flowing waters stood up like a heap; The depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.The enemy said,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoils; I shall be satisfied against them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them.’You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.Who is like You among the gods, Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?You reached out with Your right hand, The earth swallowed them.In Your faithfulness You have led the people whom You have redeemed; In Your strength You have guided them to Your holy habitation.The peoples have heard, they tremble; Anguish has gripped the inhabitants of Philistia.Then the chiefs of Edom were terrified; The leaders of Moab, trembling grips them; All the inhabitants of Canaan have despaired.Terror and dread fall upon them; By the greatness of Your arm they are motionless as stone, Until Your people pass over, Lord, Until the people pass over whom You have purchased.You will bring them and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, The place, Lord, which You have made as Your dwelling, The sanctuary, Lord, which Your hands have established.The Lord shall reign forever and ever.”

Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord according to the directions of King David of Israel.And they sang, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, saying,“ For He is good, for His favor is upon Israel forever.” And all the people shouted with a great shout of joy when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.Yet many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ households, the old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, while many shouted aloud for joy,so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the shout of joy from the sound of the weeping of the people, because the people were shouting with a loud shout, and the sound was heard far away.

Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.They quickly forgot His works; They did not wait for His plan,

And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets, with loud sounding cymbals, with harps, and lyres.

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over what God had prepared for the people, because the thing came about suddenly.

And then another came, saying,‘ Master, here is your mina, which I kept tucked away in a handkerchief;
