As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,

有一座山，名叫橄榄山，离耶路撒冷不远，有安息日可行走的路程。那时，门徒从那里回耶路撒冷去，

耶稣和门徒快到耶路撒冷，进了橄榄山的伯法其时，打发两个门徒，对他们说：“你们往对面村子里去，会立刻看见一匹驴拴在那里，还有驴驹同在一处，解开它们，牵到我这里来。若有人对你们说什么，你们就说：‘主要用它们。’那人会立刻让你们牵来。”这事发生是要应验先知所说的话：“要对锡安的儿女说：看哪，你的王来到你这里，谦和地骑着驴，骑着小驴—驴的驹子。”门徒就照耶稣所吩咐的去做，牵了驴和驴驹来，把他们的衣服搭在上面，耶稣就骑上。许许多多的人把自己的衣服铺在路上，还有人砍下树枝来铺在路上。前呼后拥的人群喊着说：“和散那归于大卫之子！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！至高无上的，和散那！”耶稣进了耶路撒冷，全城都惊动了，说：“这是谁？”众人说：“这是从加利利的拿撒勒来的先知耶稣。”

耶稣领他们出来，直到伯大尼附近，就举手给他们祝福。

那日，他的脚必站在橄榄山上，这山面向耶路撒冷的东边。橄榄山必从中间裂开，自东至西成为极大的谷；山的一半向北挪移，一半向南挪移。

于是他离开他们，出城到伯大尼去，在那里过夜。

他将近耶路撒冷，正下橄榄山的时候，一大群门徒因所见过的一切异能，都欢呼起来，大声赞美上帝，

耶稣每日在圣殿里教导人，每夜出城到橄榄山住宿。

耶稣出来，照常往橄榄山去，门徒也跟随他。

第二天，有一大群上来过节的人听见耶稣要来耶路撒冷，就拿着棕树枝出去迎接他，喊着：“和散那，以色列的王！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！”耶稣找到了一匹驴驹，就骑上，如经上所记：“锡安的儿女啊，不要惧怕！看哪，你的王来了；他骑在驴驹上。”门徒当初不明白这些事，等到耶稣得了荣耀后才想起这些话是指他写的，并且人们果然对他做了这些事。

耶稣和门徒快到耶路撒冷，来到伯法其和伯大尼，在橄榄山那里。耶稣打发两个门徒，对他们说：“你们往对面村子里去，一进去的时候会看见一匹驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的，把它解开，牵来。若有人对你们说：‘为什么做这事？’你们就说：‘主要用它，但会立刻把它牵回到这里来。’”他们去了，看见一匹驴驹拴在门外街道上，就把它解开。在那里站着的人，有几个说：“你们解开驴驹做什么？”门徒照着耶稣的话说，那些人就任凭他们牵去了。他们把驴驹牵到耶稣那里，把自己的衣服搭在上面，耶稣就骑上。有许多人把衣服铺在路上，还有人把田间的树枝砍下来铺上。前呼后拥的人都喊着说：“和散那！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！那将要来的我祖大卫之国是应当称颂的！至高无上的，和散那！”耶稣到了耶路撒冷，进入圣殿，看了周围的一切。天色已晚，他就和十二使徒出城，往伯大尼去。
