那你為甚麼不把我的銀子交給錢莊，我來的時候可以把它連利息都取回來呢？」

那麼你為什麼沒有把我的銀子交給錢莊呢？這樣我回來的時候，可以連本帶利收回來。』

盍以我金置肆、我來時、可並其利取之、

胡不以吾金存於錢肆、俾予歸時、亦得兼收本息乎？」

Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？你竟放任你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己累積憤怒！在憤怒的日子，神公義的審判要顯示出來。

「我的子民中有困苦人在你那裏，你若借錢給他，不可如放債的向他取利息。你果真拿了鄰舍的外衣作抵押，也要在日落前還給他；因為他只有這一件用來作被子，是他蔽體的衣服。他還可以拿甚麼睡覺呢？當他哀求我，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

「你借給你弟兄的，無論是錢財是糧食，或任何可生利息的財物，都不可取利。借給外邦人可以取利，但借給你的弟兄就不可取利；好讓耶和華－你的神在你去得為業的地上和你手裏所做的一切，賜福給你。
