其一至、曰、主之一斤、已獲十斤矣、

其一至曰、主之十金、已獲百金矣、

其一至曰、主人一彌拿、已獲十彌拿、

一僕先至曰：「主之一金、生利十金。」

Yes, a man will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers and sent them out another way?For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.For we are strangers before you, and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.Yahweh our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and is all your own.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
