坐在天上的那一位会讥笑，主会嘲笑他们。那时他在怒气中向他们说话，在烈怒中使他们惶恐，说：“我在锡安我的圣山上，膏立了我的王。”

财主就把管家叫来，对他说：‘我听到有关你的事，到底是什么？把你所管理的做出交代，因为你不能再当管家了。’“那管家心里说：‘主人要把我管家的任务拿去了，我能做什么呢？挖地没有力气，乞讨又感到羞耻。我知道我该做什么了，好使我被免除管家的任务以后，人们会接我到他们家里去。’“于是他把自己主人的每一个欠债人都叫了来。他问第一个：‘你欠我主人多少？’“他说：‘一百桶油。’“管家就对他说：‘拿你的欠条，赶快坐下来写成五十。’“他问另一个说：‘你呢，你欠多少？’“他说：‘一百担麦子。’“管家说：‘拿你的欠条，写成八十。’“于是主人因这个不义的管家做事精明，就称赞他。这样看来，今世的儿女在自己的世代里，比光明的儿女还要聪明。我告诉你们：要藉着那不义的财富为自己结交朋友，这样当财富无用的时候，你们会被接到永恒的居所里。在最小的事上忠心的人，在很多事上也忠心；在最小的事上不义的人，在很多事上也不义。因此，你们如果在不义的财富上不忠心，谁会把真正的财富委托给你们呢？你们如果在别人的东西上不忠心，谁会把属于你们的交给你们呢？一个仆人不能服事两个主人。他不是厌恶这个、喜爱那个，就是忠于这个、轻视那个。你们不能既服事神，又服事财富。”

至于你，为什么评断你的弟兄呢？又为什么藐视你的弟兄呢？要知道，我们都要站在神的审判台前，因为经上记着：“主说：我指着我的永生起誓，万膝将向我跪下，万口将承认神。”由此可见，我们每个人都要把自己的事向神做出交代。

这样，人应该把我们看做是基督的仆人、神奥秘之事的管家。在这里，进一步要求管家们的是，各人都要被看做是忠心的。至于我被你们评断，或被人审判，对我都是极小的事。其实连我自己也不评断自己。我诚然问心无愧，但也并不因此被称为义，原来评断我的是主。所以时候没有到，在主来临之前，不要评断任何事；主将照亮黑暗中隐秘的事，显明人心里的计划。那时候，称赞将从神那里临到各人。

但那因为不知道而做了该打之事的人，将会受很少鞭打。所以谁被赐予的多，将来向谁索取的也多；托给谁多，将来向谁要求的也更多。

“过了很久，那些奴仆的主人回来，与他们清算账目。

为此，天国就好比一个君王，要与他的奴仆们清算账目。他开始算的时候，一个欠了一千万两银子的奴仆被带到他面前。因为那奴仆没有可偿还的，主人就下令把他和他的妻子儿女，以及他所拥有的一切都卖掉来偿还。“那奴仆就俯伏拜他，说：‘请宽容我吧，将来我会把一切偿还给你。’那奴仆的主人动了怜悯之心，把他释放了，并且免了他的债。“但那奴仆出去以后，遇见一个与他同做奴仆的；这人欠他一百个银币。他就抓住这人，掐住这人的喉咙，说：‘把欠我的还给我。’“这人就俯伏在地央求他，说：‘请宽容我吧，我会还给你的。’可是他不肯，反而把这人投进监狱，直到这人能还清所欠的债。那些与他同做奴仆的看见所发生的事，就极其忧伤，去把一切都告诉他们的主人。“于是主人把那奴仆叫来，对他说：‘你这恶奴！因为你求我，我就免了你所有的债。难道你不也该怜悯与你同做奴仆的，像我怜悯了你一样吗？’主人就发怒，把他交给掌刑官，直到他能还清所欠的一切债。如果你们每个人不从心里饶恕自己的弟兄，我的天父也会照样对待你们。”
