前行者、斥勿喧。渠愈益大聲疾呼曰：『大維子、其垂憐焉！』

Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way commanded him to stop. They told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder,“ Son of David! Have mercy on me!”

And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

“ Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

And those who were in front scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted even more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

那人說：『天快亮了，讓我走吧。』雅各說：『你不給我祝福，我就不讓你走。』那人對他說：『你名叫甚麼？』他說：『雅各。』那人說：『你的名不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因為你跟神跟人較力，都得了勝。』

有人連嬰兒也帶來到耶穌跟前，要耶穌摸他們；門徒看見，就責備那些人。

你們要呼求我，要來禱告我，我就聽你們。你們要尋求我、而尋見；你們若全心地尋找我，

我告訴你們，他縱然不因他是朋友而起來給他，也要因了他那不顧一切的懇求而起來，把他所需用的給他呀。『所以我告訴你們，求，就給你們；尋找，就找着；敲門，就給你們開；因為凡求的、得着；尋找的，找着；敲門的、就給他開。

羣眾中有幾個法利賽人對耶穌說：『先生，責備你門徒吧。』

你們律法師有禍啊！因為你們把知識的鑰匙拿了去，自己不進入，連那正進入的、你們也攔阻。』

他就呼喊說：『大衛的子孫耶穌啊，憐恤我吧。』

耶穌還說着話的時候，有人從會堂管事家裏來，說：『你的女兒死了，別再麻煩先生了。』

耶穌對他們講一個比喻，論到人應當堅持禱告，不可喪志。

永恆主啊，我呼求了你；快來幫助我吧！我呼求你時候，願你側耳聽我的聲音。

他來到門徒那裏，見他們睡着，就對彼得說：『你們竟這樣沒有力量同我儆醒麼？要儆醒，要禱告，免得入了試誘；心靈固然切願着，肉體卻軟弱。』他第二次又去，禱告說：『我父啊，這杯若不能離開我，非我喝它不行，就願你的旨意成全。』又來，見他們睡着，因為他們的眼睛發沉。便離開他們，又去，第三次禱告，又說了一樣的話。

為了這事、我曾三次求過主、叫這刺痛離開我。

『求，就給你們；尋找，就找着；敲門，就給你們開。
