Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way commanded him to stop. They told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder,“ Son of David! Have mercy on me!”

And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

“ Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

那人说：“天快亮了，让我走吧。”雅各说：“如果你不给我祝福，我就不让你走。”那人问他：“你叫什么名字？”他回答：“雅各。”那人说：“你的名字不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因为你与神与人较力，都得了胜。”

有人抱着婴孩到耶稣面前，要他触摸他们。门徒看见了，就责备那些人。

‘你们要呼求我，要来向我祷告，我就必应允你们。你们要寻找我，只要一心寻求，就必寻见。

我告诉你们，即使不因为他是朋友而起来给他，也会因为他厚颜地直求，而起来照他所需要的给他。我又告诉你们，你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。因为所有祈求的就得着，寻找的就寻见，叩门的就给他开门。

群众中有几个法利赛人对他说：“先生，责备你的门徒吧！”

你们律法师有祸了！因为你们拿去知识的钥匙，自己不进去，又阻止要进去的人。”

他就喊叫说：“大卫的子孙耶稣啊，可怜我吧！”

耶稣还在说话的时候，有人从会堂主管家里来，说：“你的女儿死了，不必再劳动老师了。”

耶稣对他们讲一个比喻，论到人必须常常祈祷，不可灰心。

耶和华啊！我呼求你，求你快来帮助我；我呼求你的时候，求你留心听我的声音。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）

耶稣回到门徒那里，看见他们都睡着了，就对彼得说：“你们连一个小时也不能同我警醒吗？应当警醒、祷告，免得陷入试探；你们心灵虽然愿意，肉体却是软弱的。”他又再次走开，祷告说：“我的父啊！如果这杯不能离开我，一定要我喝，就愿你的旨意成全。”他再回来的时候，看见门徒睡着了，因为他们十分疲倦。他又离开他们，第三次去祷告，说的也是同样的话。

为了这事，我曾经三次求主，使这根刺离开我。

“你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。
