When Jesus heard these things, he said to him,“ You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”

Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share;laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,

He said to all,“ If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

“ Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;

But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Then Peter answered,“ Behold, we have left everything, and followed you. What then will we have?”Jesus said to them,“ Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

As they went on the way, a certain man said to him,“ I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”He said to another,“ Follow me!” But he said,“ Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”But Jesus said to him,“ Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce God’s Kingdom.”Another also said,“ I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good- bye to those who are at my house.”But Jesus said to him,“ No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.”

One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

All who believed were together, and had all things in common.They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

For neither was there among them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,and laid them at the apostles’ feet, and distribution was made to each, according as anyone had need.Joses, who by the apostles was also called Barnabas( which is, being interpreted, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,having a field, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
