When Jesus heard this, he told him,“ You still lack one thing: Sell all you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Make money-bags for yourselves that won’t grow old, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

“ If you want to be perfect,” Jesus said to him,“ go, sell your belongings and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and willing to share,storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of what is truly life.

but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”

And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of worldly wealth so that when it fails, they may welcome you into eternal dwellings.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead,

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

“ Don’t store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal.

Dear friends, don’t overlook this one fact: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

Then Peter responded to him,“ See, we have left everything and followed you. So what will there be for us?”Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

As they were traveling on the road someone said to him,“ I will follow you wherever you go.”Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”Then he said to another,“ Follow me.”“ Lord,” he said,“ first let me go bury my father.”But he told him,“ Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and spread the news of the kingdom of God.”Another said,“ I will follow you, Lord, but first let me go and say good-bye to those at my house.”But Jesus said to him,“ No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

I have asked one thing from the LORD; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the LORD and seeking him in his temple.

Now all the believers were together and held all things in common.They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need.

For there was not a needy person among them because all those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the proceeds of what was sold,and laid them at the apostles’ feet. This was then distributed to each person as any had need.Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus by birth, the one the apostles called Barnabas( which is translated Son of Encouragement),sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
