当变卖你们所有的施舍给人，为自己制造不朽坏的钱囊，积蓄用不尽的财宝在天上，就是贼不能近、虫不能蛀的地方。

耶稣对他说：“如果你想要完全，就去变卖你所有的，分给穷人，你就必定有财宝在天上，而且你要来跟从我。”

又要嘱咐他们行善，在善事上富足，慷慨好施。这样，就为自己在来世积聚财富，作美好的基础，好叫他们能够得着那真正的生命。

但是最需要的只有一件，马利亚已经选择了那上好的分，是不能从她夺去的。”

我告诉你们，要用不义的钱财（“钱财”亚兰文是“玛门”）去结交朋友，好叫钱财无用的时候，他们可以接你们到永恒的帐棚里。

弟兄们，我不以为自己已经得着了，我只有一件事，就是忘记背后，努力前面的事，

耶稣又对众人说：“如果有人愿意跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起他的十字架来跟从我。

“不可为自己在地上积聚财宝，因为地上有虫蛀，有锈侵蚀，也有贼挖洞来偷。要为自己积聚财宝在天上，那里没有虫蛀锈蚀，也没有贼挖洞来偷。

亲爱的，这一件事你们不可忘记：在主看来，一日如千年，千年如一日。

那时彼得对他说：“你看，我们已经舍弃一切跟从了你，我们会得到什么呢？”耶稣对他们说：“我实在告诉你们，到了万物更新，人子坐在他荣耀的宝座上的时候，你们这些跟从我的人，也会坐在十二个宝座上，审判以色列的十二个支派。

他们走路的时候，有一个人对他说：“你无论往哪里去，我都要跟从你！”耶稣说：“狐狸有洞，天空的飞鸟有窝，人子却没有栖身的地方。”他对另一个人说：“你跟从我吧！”那人说：“主啊，请准我先回去安葬我的父亲吧。”耶稣说：“让死人去埋葬他们的死人，你应该去传扬神的国。”又有一个人说：“主，我要跟从你，但容我先回去，向家人道别。”耶稣说：“手扶着犁向后看的，不适合进神的国。”

有一件事我求过耶和华，我还要寻求；我要一生一世住在耶和华的殿里，瞻仰他的荣美，在他的殿中求问。

所有信的人都在一起，凡物公用，并且变卖产业和财物，按照各人的需要分给他们。

他们中间没有一个有缺乏的，因为凡有田产房屋的都卖了，把得到的钱拿来，放在使徒脚前，照着各人的需要来分配。有一个人名叫约瑟，使徒称他为巴拿巴，就是“安慰者”的意思，他是个利未人，生在塞浦路斯。他卖掉了自己的田地，把钱拿来，放在使徒的脚前。
