Jesus summoned them, saying,“ Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.

說：『我實在告訴你們，你們若不回轉，變像小孩子的樣子，斷不得以進天國。所以凡自己謙卑像這個小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。

就該切慕心神之純淨奶子，像才生的嬰兒切慕奶子一樣，使你們靠着這個而長大、以至於得救。

你要召集人民、男女幼小、和你城內的寄居者，叫他們聽，叫他們學習敬畏永恆主你們的上帝，謹慎遵行「這律法」的一切話，

弟兄們，在見識上別做小孩子；但在惡事上卻要做嬰孩；在見識上總要做成人。

你們的小孩、妻子、和你營中的寄居者，連給你撿柴的、帶給你打水的、都站立着，

那時猶大眾人都站在永恆主面前，連他們的小孩和妻子兒女也都一起站着。

我必使他們有同一的心和同一的行徑，好叫他們日日不斷地敬畏我，使他們和他們以後的子孫都得到福樂。

亞伯拉罕的兒子以撒生下來八天、亞伯拉罕就給他行了割禮，照上帝所吩咐他的。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女、以及一切在遠方、凡主我們的上帝所呼召的人。』

因為不信主的男人因着妻子就聖別了；不信主的婦人因着弟兄也聖別了。不然，你們的兒女就不潔淨了；其實卻是聖潔的。

雅各又向法老祝福辭別，就從法老面前退出來了。約瑟就照法老所吩咐的叫他父親和弟兄住下，將埃及地、那地最好的區域、蘭塞地、給他們做產業。約瑟將食物供養他父親和他弟兄、以及他父親全家，各照弱小人口的需要。當時遍地都沒有食物，因為饑荒非常嚴重；埃及地和迦南地在饑荒之下都餓昏了。約瑟收聚了埃及地和迦南地所找得着的銀子，就是眾人買穀子的銀子；約瑟把那銀子帶進法老宮裏。
