“我實在告訴你們，如果你們不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，一定不能進天國。所以，凡謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裡是最大的。

像初生嬰孩愛慕那純淨的靈奶，好叫你們靠它長大，進入救恩；

你要召集人民、男人、女人、孩子，以及你城裡的寄居者，叫他們可以聽見，叫他們可以學習，好敬畏耶和華你們的神，謹守遵行這律法的一切話，

弟兄們，你們在思想上不要作小孩子，卻要在惡事上作嬰孩，在思想上作成年人。

你們的小孩、妻子和在你營中的寄居者，以及為你們劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和華你們的神面前，

那時全猶大的人，連他們的嬰孩、妻子和兒女，都站在耶和華面前。

我要使他們有同一的心志和同一的行為，終生敬畏我，使他們和他們的子孫都得到福樂。

亞伯拉罕的兒子以撒生下來第八天，亞伯拉罕就照著神吩咐他的，給以撒行了割禮。

這應許原是給你們和你們的兒女，以及所有在遠方的人，就是給凡是我們主神召來歸他的人。”

因為不信的丈夫因著妻子成為聖潔，不信的妻子也因著那個弟兄成為聖潔了。不然，你們的兒女就是不潔淨的，但現在他們都是聖潔的了。

雅各又給法老祝福，然後離開法老出去了。約瑟照著法老的吩咐安置他的父親和兄弟們，把蘭塞地，就是埃及地最好的地方，給他們作產業。約瑟照著孩子的數目，用糧食供養他的父親、兄弟們，以及父親的家人。那時，遍地都沒有糧食，因為饑荒非常嚴重。埃及地和迦南地的人，因為饑荒的緣故都餓昏了。約瑟收集了埃及地和迦南地所有的銀子，就是眾人買糧的銀子；約瑟就把那些銀子交到法老的王宮去。
