「我實在告訴你們，你們若不變得像小孩子那樣，絕不能進天國。所以，凡像這小孩子一樣謙卑的人，在天國才是最偉大的。

就要像初生的嬰兒一樣渴慕純淨的靈奶，好不斷成長，直到完全得救。

要招聚所有男女、孩童以及住在你們中間的外族人，讓他們聆聽這律法，學習敬畏你們的上帝耶和華，謹遵律法上的一切話。

弟兄姊妹，你們的思想不要像小孩子，要長大成熟，但在罪惡的事上要像嬰孩。

你們的孩子、妻子和寄居在你們中間為你們砍柴挑水的外族人，

猶大人與他們的妻子、兒女和嬰孩都站在耶和華面前。

我要使他們永遠全心全意地敬畏我，使他們和子孫得到福樂。

以撒出生後第八天，亞伯拉罕就照著上帝的吩咐為他行了割禮。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女，以及遠方的人，就是所有被主——我們的上帝呼召的人。」

因為不信的丈夫因妻子而得以聖潔了。同樣，不信的妻子也因丈夫而得以聖潔了。否則你們的孩子就是不潔淨的，但如今他們是聖潔的。

雅各為法老祝福後，就告退了。約瑟遵照法老之命把埃及最好的地方——蘭塞境內的土地給他父親和弟兄們居住，作他們的產業。約瑟按各家人口提供糧食給父親、弟兄及其他家人。饑荒很嚴重，到處都缺糧，埃及和迦南都飽受饑荒之苦。約瑟把埃及人和迦南人向他買糧的銀子收集起來，存放在法老的庫房裡。
