On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.

「當你們看見『那帶來毀滅的褻瀆者』站在不該站的地方時——讀者應當思考——那時，在猶太的人應當逃到山裡；在屋頂上的人，不要下來，也不要進屋子裡去拿什麼東西；在田裡的人，不要轉回到背後的事上，去拿自己的衣服。

然而，以前對我有益的事，現在因基督的緣故，我已經把這些事看做是損失。不但如此，我甚至把一切都看做是損失，因為我把認識我主基督耶穌看為是至高無上的。我為基督耶穌損失了一切，而且把一切都看做是糞土，為要贏得基督，

在屋頂上的人，不要下來拿屋子裡的東西；在田裡的人，不要返回去拿自己的衣服。在那些日子裡，孕婦和哺乳的女人有禍了！你們要禱告，好讓你們逃難的時候不在冬天，也不在安息日。因為那時將有大患難。這樣的患難從世界開始直到如今，從來沒有發生過，也絕不再發生。

那時，在猶太的人應當逃到山裡；在城裡的人應當出來；在鄉下的人不要進城；

一個人就是賺得了全世界，卻賠上了自己的生命，到底有什麼益處呢？人還能拿什麼來換回自己的生命呢？

「所以我告訴你們：不要為你們的生命而憂慮吃什麼、喝什麼；也不要為你們的身體而憂慮穿什麼；難道生命不比食物更重要，身體不比衣服更重要嗎？
