On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.

Suppose someone is on the housetop on that day. And suppose what they own is inside the house. They should not go down to get what they own. No one in the field should go back for anything either.

On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back.

On that day a person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return home.

“當你們看見‘那造成荒涼的可憎者’，站在不該站的地方（讀者必須領悟），那時，住在猶太的應當逃到山上；在房頂的不要下來，也不要進到屋子裡拿甚麼東西；在田裡的也不要回去取衣服。

你要為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀！看哪！我必使災禍降在全人類身上，但無論你到甚麼地方去，我必使你撿回自己的性命。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

然而以前對我有益的，現在因著基督的緣故，我都當作是有損的。不但這樣，我也把萬事當作是有損的，因為我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。為了他，我把萬事都拋棄了，看作廢物，為了要得著基督。

在房頂的不要下來拿家裡的東西；在田裡的也不要回去取衣服。當那些日子，懷孕的和乳養孩子的有禍了！你們應當祈求，叫你們逃難的時候，不是在冬天或安息日，因為那時必有大災難，這是從世界的開始到現在未曾有過的，以後也必不會再有。

那時，住在猶太的，應該逃到山上；住在城裡的，要離開；住在鄉下的，不要進城。

人若賺得全世界，卻賠上自己的生命，有甚麼好處呢？人還能用甚麼換回自己的生命呢？

撒但回答耶和華說：“人以皮換皮，寧可付出他所有的一切去保命。

所以我告訴你們，不要為生命憂慮吃甚麼喝甚麼，也不要為身體憂慮穿甚麼。難道生命不比食物重要嗎？身體不比衣服重要嗎？
