蓋如電之在天、閃於此、而光於彼、人子於其日亦如是、

如天之有電、閃於此而光於彼、人子至之日亦如是、

蓋如電在天、閃於此而光於彼、人子臨日亦如是、

夫閃電之作、發於此而照於彼、霎時瑩徹全宇。人子降臨之日、亦復如是。

For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

When the Son of Man comes, he will be like the lightning. It flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.

因為閃電怎樣從東邊發出，直照到西邊，人子之御臨也必這樣。

『因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說：那日來到、燃燒着像火爐：一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎稭；那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。但對你們敬畏我名的人、必有義氣之日頭昇現起來照耀你們；它的翅膀、光線、有醫治的效能。你們必騰躍着出來、像出圈的肥牛犢。

『看吧，我將要差遣我的使者在我前面豫備道路；你們所尋求的主必忽然進入他的殿堂；你們所愛慕的、盟約的使者、看哪，他快來了！萬軍之永恆主說。但他來的日子誰能當得起呢？他顯現時、誰能站立得住呢？『因為他像煉金之人的火，像漂布之人的鹼。

我們求你們、無論因了靈的宣講、或因了話語、或因了假冒我們之名而寫的書信、說主的日子已來到、你們都不要輕易被搖動、而失去了悟的心思，也不要驚慌。

你們也要恆忍，使心裏堅固，因為主的御臨近了。

因為你們自己明確地曉得主的日子就像個賊夜裏來到一樣。

他發雷聲、響遍天下，他發電光、閃到地角。隨後雷聲隆隆，大發威嚴的雷轟；雷聲一被聽見，他總不滯延着閃電。

永恆主必顯現在他們以上；他的箭必射出如閃電；主永恆主必吹號角，乘南方的旋風而行。

但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。

那時人子的迹象必顯現在天上；那時地上萬族都必捶胸號咷，必看見人子帶着能力和大榮耀、駕着天雲來臨。

然後那不法者才顯露出來。主耶穌必用他口中的氣殺掉他，用他御臨之顯現消滅他。

耶穌對他說：『你說的是；然而我告訴你們，你們這就要看見人子坐在「權能」的右邊了，還要駕着天雲來臨呢。』

『當人子在他榮耀裏、眾天使跟着他來臨的時候，他要坐在他榮耀之寶座上。
