Then he said to the disciples,“ The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们巴不得看见人子的一个日子，却不得看见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

祂又对门徒说：“时候将到，你们将渴望见到人子降临的日子，可是你们却见不到。

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们渴望看见人子的一个日子，却见不到。

耶稣又对门徒们说：“日子将要来到，那时候你们会渴望看见人子日子中的一天，可是看不到。

他又對門徒說：「日子將到，你們巴不得看見人子的一個日子，卻不得看見。

耶穌就對門徒說：『日子必到，那時你們巴不得有看見人子日子的一天，卻不得以看見。

耶穌又對門徒們說：「日子將要來到，那時候你們會渴望看見人子日子中的一天，可是看不到。

又語其徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日而不得見、

又謂門徒曰、時至、爾欲見人子一日、不可得矣、

又謂門徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日、而不得見、

又謂門徒曰：『時日將至、爾曹欲親歷人子之一日、亦不可得。

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples.“ The time is coming,” he said,“ when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man. But you won’t see it.

And he said to the disciples,“ The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see the day when the Son of Man returns, but you won’t see it.

Then he told the disciples,“ The days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you won’t see it.

And He said to the disciples,“ The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Then He said to the disciples,“ The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Then He told the disciples:“ The days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you won’t see it.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see[ it].

He said to the disciples,“ The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Jesus said to them,“ The wedding guests cannot mourn while the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

But those days are coming, and when the bridegroom is taken from them, at that time they will fast.”

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”Then some of his disciples said to one another,“ What is the meaning of what he is saying,‘ In a little while you will not see me; again after a little while, you will see me,’ and,‘ because I am going to the Father’?”So they kept on repeating,“ What is the meaning of what he says,‘ In a little while’? We do not understand what he is talking about.”Jesus could see that they wanted to ask him about these things, so he said to them,“ Are you asking each other about this– that I said,‘ In a little while you will not see me; again after a little while, you will see me’?I tell you the solemn truth, you will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy.When a woman gives birth, she has distress because her time has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human being has been born into the world.So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

But now I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you is asking me,‘ Where are you going?’Instead your hearts are filled with sadness because I have said these things to you.But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.

Then Jesus said,“ I will be with you for only a little while longer, and then I am going to the one who sent me.You will look for me but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come.”Then the Jewish leaders said to one another,“ Where is he going to go that we cannot find him? He is not going to go to the Jewish people dispersed among the Greeks and teach the Greeks, is he?What did he mean by saying,‘ You will look for me but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come’?”

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and at that time they will fast.

Children, I am still with you for a little while. You will look for me, and just as I said to the Jewish religious leaders,‘ Where I am going you cannot come,’ now I tell you the same.

Then Jesus said to them again,“ I am going away, and you will look for me but will die in your sin. Where I am going you cannot come.”So the Jewish leaders began to say,“ Perhaps he is going to kill himself, because he says,‘ Where I am going you cannot come.’”Jesus replied,“ You people are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world.Thus I told you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

Look, your house is forsaken! And I tell you, you will not see me until you say,‘ Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safe in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.When I was with them I kept them safe and watched over them in your name that you have given me. Not one of them was lost except the one destined for destruction, so that the scripture could be fulfilled.But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experience my joy completed in themselves.

Jesus replied,“ The light is with you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
