And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see[ it].

又語其徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日而不得見、

又謂門徒曰、時至、爾欲見人子一日、不可得矣、

又謂門徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日、而不得見、

又謂門徒曰：『時日將至、爾曹欲親歷人子之一日、亦不可得。

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples.“ The time is coming,” he said,“ when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man. But you won’t see it.

And he said to the disciples,“ The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.Then said[ some] of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and[ then] I go unto him that sent me.Ye shall seek me, and shall not find[ me]: and where I am,[ thither] ye cannot come.Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?What[ manner of] saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find[ me]: and where I am,[ thither] ye cannot come?

But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am[ he], ye shall die in your sins.

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until[ the time] come when ye shall say, Blessed[ is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we[ are].While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
