他又對門徒說：“日子將到，你們渴望看見人子的一個日子，卻見不到。

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们巴不得看见人子的一个日子，却不得看见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

祂又对门徒说：“时候将到，你们将渴望见到人子降临的日子，可是你们却见不到。

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们渴望看见人子的一个日子，却见不到。

耶稣又对门徒们说：“日子将要来到，那时候你们会渴望看见人子日子中的一天，可是看不到。

他又對門徒說：「日子將到，你們巴不得看見人子的一個日子，卻不得看見。

他又對門徒說：「那些日子將到，你們渴望能看見人子的一個日子，卻看不見。

祂又對門徒說：「時候將到，你們將渴望見到人子降臨的日子，可是你們卻見不到。

耶穌就對門徒說：『日子必到，那時你們巴不得有看見人子日子的一天，卻不得以看見。

耶穌又對門徒們說：「日子將要來到，那時候你們會渴望看見人子日子中的一天，可是看不到。

又語其徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日而不得見、

又謂門徒曰、時至、爾欲見人子一日、不可得矣、

又謂門徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日、而不得見、

又謂門徒曰：『時日將至、爾曹欲親歷人子之一日、亦不可得。

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples.“ The time is coming,” he said,“ when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man. But you won’t see it.

And he said to the disciples,“ The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see the day when the Son of Man returns, but you won’t see it.

耶穌回答：“新郎跟賓客在一起的時候，賓客怎能哀痛呢？但到了時候，新郎就要從他們中間被取去，那時他們就要禁食了。

但日子到了，新郎要被取去，離開他們，那一天他們就要禁食了。”

“不久，你們不會再看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我。”於是他的門徒中有幾個彼此說：“他對我們說：‘不久，你們不會看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我。’又說：‘因為我到父那裡去。’這是甚麼意思呢？”他們又說：“他所說的‘不久’，是甚麼意思呢？我們不曉得他在講甚麼。”耶穌知道他們想問他，就說：“我所說的‘不久，你們不會看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我’，你們為了這話彼此議論嗎？我實實在在告訴你們，你們要痛哭哀號，世人卻要歡喜；你們要憂愁，但你們的憂愁要變為喜樂。婦人生產的時候會有憂愁，因為她的時候到了；但生了孩子以後，就不再記住那痛苦了，因為歡喜有一個人生到世上來。現在你們也有憂愁；但我要再見你們，你們的心就會喜樂，你們的喜樂是沒有人能夠奪去的。

現在我要到那差我來的那裡去，你們中間並沒有人問：‘你到哪裡去？’然而因為我把這些事告訴了你們，你們心裡就充滿憂愁。但我要把實情告訴你們，我去是對你們有益的。如果我不去，保惠師就不會到你們這裡來；我若去了，就會差他到你們這裡來。

於是耶穌說：“我跟你們在一起的時候不多了，我要回到那差我來的那裡去。你們要尋找我，卻找不著；我所在的地方，你們是不能去的。”猶太人彼此說：“這個人要到哪裡去，使我們找不著他呢？難道他要到散居在希臘人中的猶太人那裡，去教導希臘人嗎？他說‘你們要尋找我，卻找不著；我所在的地方，你們是不能去的’這話，是甚麼意思呢？”

但日子到了，新郎要被取去，離開他們，那一天他們就要禁食了。

孩子們啊，我跟你們在一起的時候不多了。你們要尋找我，但是我對猶太人說過，現在也照樣對你們說：‘我去的地方，是你們不能去的。’

耶穌又對他們說：“我要去了，你們要尋找我，並且要在自己的罪中死亡；我去的地方，你們不能到。”於是猶太人說：“他說‘我去的地方，你們不能到’，難道他要自殺嗎？”耶穌說：“你們是從地上來的，我是從天上來的；你們屬這世界，我卻不屬這世界，所以我對你們說，你們要在自己的罪中死亡；你們若不信我就是‘那一位’，就要在自己的罪中死亡。”

你看，你們的家必成為荒場留給你們。我告訴你們，從今以後，你們一定見不到我，直等到你們說：‘奉主名來的，是應當稱頌的。’”

我不再在這世上，他們卻在這世上，我要到你那裡去。聖父啊，求你因你賜給我的名，保守他們，使他們合而為一，好像我們一樣。我跟他們在一起的時候，因你賜給我的名，我保守了他們，也護衛了他們；他們中間除了那滅亡的人以外，沒有一個是滅亡的，這就應驗了經上的話。現在我到你那裡去，我在世上說這些話，是要他們心裡充滿我的喜樂。

耶穌說：“光在你們中間的時間不多了。你們應當趁著有光的時候行走，免得黑暗追上你們。在黑暗中行走的人，不知道往哪裡去。
