祂又对门徒说：“时候将到，你们将渴望见到人子降临的日子，可是你们却见不到。

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们巴不得看见人子的一个日子，却不得看见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

他又对门徒说：“那些日子将到，你们渴望能看见人子的一个日子，却看不见。

他又对门徒说：“日子将到，你们渴望看见人子的一个日子，却见不到。

耶稣又对门徒们说：“日子将要来到，那时候你们会渴望看见人子日子中的一天，可是看不到。

他又對門徒說：「日子將到，你們巴不得看見人子的一個日子，卻不得看見。

他又對門徒說：「那些日子將到，你們渴望能看見人子的一個日子，卻看不見。

耶穌就對門徒說：『日子必到，那時你們巴不得有看見人子日子的一天，卻不得以看見。

又語其徒曰、時將至、爾欲見人子之一日而不得見、

又謂門徒曰、時至、爾欲見人子一日、不可得矣、

又謂門徒曰：『時日將至、爾曹欲親歷人子之一日、亦不可得。

Then he said to his disciples,“ The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

耶稣对他们说：“新郎和宾客还在一起的时候，宾客怎能悲伤呢？但有一天新郎将被带走，那时他们就要禁食了。

“不久，你们就见不到我了，再过不久，你们还会看见我。”几个门徒彼此议论说：“祂说，‘不久，你们就见不到我了，再过不久，你们还会看见我’，祂又说，‘因为我要去父那里’，这到底是什么意思呢？祂说‘不久’是什么意思呢？我们真不明白！”耶稣知道他们想问祂，就说：“你们在议论我刚才说的话是什么意思吗？我实实在在地告诉你们，你们将痛哭、哀号，世人却要欢喜；你们将忧愁，然而你们的忧愁将变为喜乐。妇人分娩时都会痛苦不已，但孩子生下来后，她就会因为这世界添了一个新生命而充满欢乐，忘掉了生产的痛苦。同样，现在你们有忧愁，但到我再见你们的时候，你们的心必欢喜，而且这份喜乐是谁也夺不去的。

“现在我要去差我来的父那里，你们没有人问我去哪里。因为我把这些事告诉了你们，你们心里充满了忧愁。然而，我把实情告诉你们，我去对你们是有益的，因为如果我不去，护慰者就不会来，我去了就会派祂到你们这里来。

耶稣对众人说：“我暂时还会跟你们在一起，不久我要回到差我来的那位那里。那时你们要找我却找不到，你们也不能去我所在的地方。”犹太人彼此议论说：“祂要去哪里使我们找不着呢？难道祂要到我们犹太人侨居的希腊各地去教导希腊人吗？祂说我们找不到祂，又不能去祂所在的地方，是什么意思？”

但有一天新郎将被带走，那时他们就要禁食了。

孩子们，我与你们同在的时间不多了，以后你们要找我，但我去的地方，你们不能去。这句话我以前对犹太人说过，现在也照样告诉你们。

耶稣又对他们说：“我要走了，你们会寻找我，你们将死在自己的罪中。我去的地方，你们不能去。”犹太人说：“祂说祂去的地方我们不能去，难道祂想自杀吗？”耶稣对他们说：“你们是从下面来的，我是从上面来的。你们属于这世界，我不属于这世界。所以我说你们将死在自己的罪中，你们如果不相信我就是那一位，一定会死在自己的罪中。”

看啊！你们的家园将一片荒凉。我告诉你们，在你们说‘奉主名来的当受称颂’之前，你们再也见不到我了。”

现在我要离开这个世界去你那里了，他们却仍然留在世上。圣父啊，求你为了自己的名，就是你赐给我的名而保守他们，使他们像我们一样合而为一。我和他们在一起的时候，靠着你赐给我的名保守他们，看顾他们。除了那个注定灭亡的人以外，他们一个也没有灭亡，这是为了应验圣经上的话。“现在我要去你那里了，我趁着还在世上的时候这样说，是要叫他们心里充满我的喜乐。

耶稣对他们说：“光在你们中间照耀的时候不多了，你们要趁着有光的时候走路，免得黑暗来临后，走在黑暗里的人不知道要往哪里去。
