大家正听这些话的时候，耶稣再讲了一个比喻，因为他已经离耶路撒冷不远，而且他们以为神的国快要显现了。

耶稣回答：“我的国不属于这个世界。如果我的国属于这个世界，我的仆人们早就会争战，不让我被交给那些犹太人。但如今，我的国不在这里。”

于是聚集的时候，他们就问耶稣说：“主啊！你复兴以色列国，是否在这时候呢？”耶稣对他们说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时候和日期，不是你们可以知道的。

“这些君王年间，天上的神必立起一个永不毁灭的国度，这国度不会交给别的民族，却会砸碎、终结所有这些国，而它会存到永远，

他们会告诉你们‘看，在那里！’或‘看，在这里！’你们不要出去，也不要追随他们；因为就像闪电一闪，从天这边照耀到天那边，人子在他的日子也将要这样。

“律法和先知到约翰为止，从此神国的福音被传扬，人人都在努力争取进入它。

‘连那沾在我们脚上的你们城里的尘土，我们也要当着你们擦掉，不过你们应当知道：神的国近了。’
