众人听这些话的时候，因为耶稣已经接近耶路撒冷，又因他们以为神的国快要出现，他就讲了一个比喻，

耶稣回答：“我的国不属于这世界；如果我的国属于这世界，我的臣仆就要作战，使我不至被交给犹太人。不过，我的国不是这世上的。”

他们聚集的时候，问耶稣说：“主啊，你要在这时候使以色列复国吗？”耶稣说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时间或日期，你们不必知道。

那些王在位的时候，天上的神必兴起另一个永不灭亡的国，国权必不归给别族的人。这国必砸碎毁灭其他各国；并且这国必存到永远。

有人会对你们说：‘看哪，在那里；看哪，在这里！’你们不要出去，也不要追随他们。电光怎样从天这边一闪，直照到天那边，人子在他的日子也是这样。

律法和先知到约翰就结束了。从此，神的国的福音就传开了，人人都要努力进去。

他对我说：“这是耶和华对所罗巴伯所说的话：‘不是倚靠权势，不是倚靠能力，而是倚靠我的灵。’这是万军之耶和华说的。

‘连你们城里那黏在我们脚上的尘土，我们也要当着你们擦去。虽然这样，你们应该知道：神的国临近了！’
