與其使此小子之一陷於罪、寧以巨磨石繫其頸而投於海、

與其使一小子失足陷罪、孰若磨石懸頸、而被投於海之為愈乎！

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

你們在天上的父也是這樣，不願意失去這些小子中的一個。」

說：「我實在告訴你們，你們若不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，絕不能進天國。所以，凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。凡為我的名接納一個像這小孩子的，就是接納我。」「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，沉在深海裏。

因此，基督為他死的那軟弱弟兄，也就因你的知識沉淪了。你們這樣得罪弟兄，傷了他們軟弱的良心，就是得罪基督。

「你們要小心，不可輕看這些小子中的一個；我告訴你們，他們的天使在天上，常見我天父的面。

對軟弱的人，我就作軟弱的人，為要贏得軟弱的人。對甚麼樣的人，我就作甚麼樣的人。無論如何我總要救一些人。

人子要去了，正如經上所寫有關他的；但出賣人子的人有禍了！那人沒有出生倒好。」

從前在民間有假先知起來；同樣，將來在你們中間也會有假教師，偷偷地引進使人滅亡的異端。他們甚至不認買他們的主人，自取迅速滅亡。許多人會隨從他們淫蕩的行為，以致真理之道因他們的緣故被毀謗。他們因貪婪，要用捏造的言語在你們身上取得利益。他們的懲罰，自古以來並不遲延；他們的滅亡也必迅速來到。

他要像牧人牧養自己的羊羣，用膀臂聚集羔羊，抱在胸懷，慢慢引導那乳養小羊的。

他們吃完了早飯，耶穌對西門‧彼得說：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我比這些更深嗎？」彼得對他說：「主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你餵養我的小羊。」

但這權利我全然沒有用過。我寫這些話，並非要你們這樣待我，因為我寧可死也不讓人使我所誇的落了空。

萬軍之耶和華說：刀劍哪，興起攻擊我的牧人，攻擊我的同伴吧！要擊打牧人，羊就分散了；我必反手攻擊那微小的。
