He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him— and he was a Samaritan.

These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them, saying,“ Do not go on a road to Gentiles, and do not enter a city of Samaritans;

Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he* said to me,“ Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brothers and sisters who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Philip went down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming the Christ to them.The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what was being said by Philip, as they heard and saw the signs which he was performing.For in the case of many who had unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been paralyzed or limped on crutches were healed.So there was much rejoicing in that city.Now a man named Simon had previously been practicing magic in the city and astonishing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great;and all the people, from small to great, were paying attention to him, saying,“ This man is the Power of God that is called Great.”And they were paying attention to him because for a long time he had astounded them with his magic arts.But when they believed Philip as he was preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were being baptized.Now even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed signs and great miracles taking place, he was repeatedly amazed.Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John,who came down and prayed for them that they would receive the Holy Spirit.( For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire the gift of God with money!You have no part or share in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.Therefore, repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart will be forgiven you.For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of unrighteousness.”But Simon answered and said,“ Pray to the Lord for me yourselves, so that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”So, when they had solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

So the Samaritan woman* said to Him,“ How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?”( For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

the twenty four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and they will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Now from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified,“ He told me all the things that I have done.”So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.Many more believed because of His word;and they were saying to the woman,“ It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One truly is the Savior of the world.”

Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said,‘ Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.’

And the twenty four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying,“ Amen. Hallelujah!”And a voice came from the throne, saying,“ Give praise to our God, all you His bond servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”

and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him.And they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem.When His disciples James and John saw this, they said,“ Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”But He turned and rebuked them.And they went on to another village.

And the four living creatures were saying,“ Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

Jesus* said to her,“ Believe Me, woman, that a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews.

Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,

But the woman, fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

And after they came into the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

The Jews answered and said to Him,“ Do we not rightly say that You are a Samaritan, and You have a demon?”

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell at his feet and worshiped him.But Peter helped him up, saying,“ Stand up; I, too, am just a man.”
