and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.

He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him— and he was a Samaritan.

These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them,“ Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans,

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did.For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.So there was much joy in that city.But there was a man named Simon, who had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was somebody great.They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying,“ This man is the power of God that is called Great.”And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic.But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.Even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed.Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,for he had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.”And Simon answered,“ Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”Now when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

The Samaritan woman said to him,“ How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?”( For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony,“ He told me all that I ever did.”So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days.And many more believed because of his word.They said to the woman,“ It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”

So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying,‘ Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’

And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying,“ Amen. Hallelujah!”And from the throne came a voice saying,“ Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.”

And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans, to make preparations for him.But the people did not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem.And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said,“ Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”But he turned and rebuked them.And they went on to another village.

And the four living creatures said,“ Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus said to her,“ Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.

Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him,

But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

The Jews answered him,“ Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.But Peter lifted him up, saying,“ Stand up; I too am a man.”
