掌家固不義、然其深思遠慮、即其主人、亦不能不為之歎佩。蓋世俗子之所以謀身者、有敏於光明子之所以謀道者焉。

“ The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

“ The manager had not been honest. But the master praised him for being clever. The people of this world are clever in dealing with those who are like themselves. They are more clever than God’s people.

The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.

“ The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.

“ The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age are more shrewd than the children of light in dealing with their own people.

And his master complimented the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light.

So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

“ The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted astutely. For the sons of this age are more astute than the sons of light in dealing with their own people.

從前你們是暗昧的，但如今在主裏面是光明的，行事為人要像光明的子女－

你們都是光明之子，都是白晝之子；我們不屬黑夜，也不屬幽暗。

你們趁着有光，要信從這光，使你們成為光明之子。」耶穌說了這些話，就離開他們隱藏了。

耶穌對他們說：「這世代的人有娶有嫁，

人在最小的事上忠心，在大事上也忠心；在最小的事上不義，在大事上也不義。

懶惰人哪，你去察看螞蟻的動作，就可得智慧。螞蟻沒有領袖，沒有官長，沒有君王，尚且在夏天預備食物，在收割時儲存糧食。

耶和華神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的走獸更狡猾。蛇對女人說：「神豈是真說，你們不可吃園中任何樹上所出的嗎？」

耶和華啊，求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那只在今生有福分的世人！你以財寶充滿他們的肚腹，他們因有兒女就滿足，將其餘的財物留給他們的孩子。

來吧，讓我們機巧地待他們，恐怕他們增多起來，將來若有戰爭，他們就聯合我們的仇敵來攻擊我們，然後離開這地去了。」

我知道怎麼做，好叫人們在我不作管家之後，接我到他們家裏去。』

他們的結局就是滅亡。他們的神明是自己的肚腹；他們以自己的羞辱為光榮，專以地上的事為念。

這就顯明誰是神的兒女，誰是魔鬼的兒女了。凡不行義的，不是出於神，不愛他弟兄的，也是如此。

誰都不可自欺。你們中間若有人自以為在今世有智慧，倒不如變為愚拙，好成為有智慧的。

暗嫩有一個密友，名叫約拿達，是大衛長兄示米亞的兒子。這約拿達為人極其狡猾。

彼得說：「是向外人。」耶穌對他說：「既然如此，兒子就可以免了。

主說：「你們聽這不義的官所說的話。

現在你們召集巴力的眾先知和所有拜巴力的人，以及巴力的眾祭司，都到我這裏來，一個也不可缺少，因為我要給巴力獻大祭；凡不來的必不得活。」耶戶行詭詐，為要消滅拜巴力的人。

不過，你們是被揀選的一族，是君尊的祭司，是神聖的國度，是屬神的子民，要使你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

他要見智慧人死，愚昧人和畜牲一般的人一同滅亡，把他們的財貨留給別人。他們雖以自己的名叫自己的地，墳墓卻作他們永遠的家，作他們世世代代的居所。人居尊貴中不能長久，如同死亡的畜類一樣。他們所行之道本為自己的愚昧，後來的人卻還佩服他們的話語。（細拉）他們如同羊羣註定要下陰間，死亡必作他們的牧者；到了早晨，正直人必管轄他們。他們的形像必被陰間所滅，無處可容身。然而神必救贖我的命脫離陰間的掌控，因他必收納我。（細拉）見人發財、家室日益顯赫的時候，你不要懼怕；因為他死的時候甚麼也不能帶去，他的榮耀不能隨他下去。他活着的時候，雖然自誇為有福－你若自己行得好，人必誇獎你－他仍必與歷代的祖宗一樣同歸死亡，永不見光。
