掌家固不義、然其深思遠慮、即其主人、亦不能不為之歎佩。蓋世俗子之所以謀身者、有敏於光明子之所以謀道者焉。

“ The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

“ The manager had not been honest. But the master praised him for being clever. The people of this world are clever in dealing with those who are like themselves. They are more clever than God’s people.

The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.

“ The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.

“ The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age are more shrewd than the children of light in dealing with their own people.

And his master complimented the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light.

So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

從前你們是暗昧的，但如今在主裏面是光明的，行事為人就當像光明的子女。

你們都是光明之子，都是白晝之子。我們不是屬黑夜的，也不是屬幽暗的。

你們應當趁着有光，信從這光，使你們成為光明之子。」耶穌說了這話，就離開他們隱藏了。

耶穌說：「這世界的人有娶有嫁；

人在最小的事上忠心，在大事上也忠心；在最小的事上不義，在大事上也不義。

懶惰人哪，你去察看螞蟻的動作就可得智慧。螞蟻沒有元帥，沒有官長，沒有君王，尚且在夏天預備食物，在收割時聚斂糧食。

耶和華神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說：「神豈是真說不許你們吃園中所有樹上的果子嗎？」

耶和華啊，求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那只在今生有福分的世人！你把你的財寶充滿他們的肚腹；他們因有兒女就心滿意足，將其餘的財物留給他們的嬰孩。

來吧，我們不如用巧計待他們，恐怕他們多起來，日後若遇甚麼爭戰的事，就連合我們的仇敵攻擊我們，離開這地去了。」

我知道怎麼行，好叫人在我不作管家之後，接我到他們家裏去。』

他們的結局就是沉淪；他們的神就是自己的肚腹。他們以自己的羞辱為榮耀，專以地上的事為念。

從此就顯出誰是神的兒女，誰是魔鬼的兒女。凡不行義的就不屬神，不愛弟兄的也是如此。

人不可自欺。你們中間若有人在這世界自以為有智慧，倒不如變作愚拙，好成為有智慧的。

暗嫩有一個朋友，名叫約拿達，是大衛長兄示米亞的兒子。這約拿達為人極其狡猾；

彼得說：「是向外人。」耶穌說：「既然如此，兒子就可以免稅了。

主說：「你們聽這不義之官所說的話。

現在我要給巴力獻大祭。應當叫巴力的眾先知和一切拜巴力的人，並巴力的眾祭司，都到我這裏來，不可缺少一個；凡不來的必不得活。」耶戶這樣行，是用詭計要殺盡拜巴力的人。

惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

他必見智慧人死，又見愚頑人和畜類人一同滅亡，將他們的財貨留給別人。他們心裏思想：他們的家室必永存，住宅必留到萬代；他們以自己的名稱自己的地。但人居尊貴中不能長久，如同死亡的畜類一樣。他們行的這道本為自己的愚昧；但他們以後的人還佩服他們的話語。（細拉）他們如同羊羣派定下陰間；死亡必作他們的牧者。到了早晨，正直人必管轄他們；他們的美容必被陰間所滅，以致無處可存。只是神必救贖我的靈魂脫離陰間的權柄，因他必收納我。（細拉）見人發財、家室增榮的時候，你不要懼怕；因為，他死的時候甚麼也不能帶去；他的榮耀不能隨他下去。他活着的時候，雖然自誇為有福（你若利己，人必誇獎你）；他仍必歸到他歷代的祖宗那裏，永不見光。
