But he said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

曰、不聽摩西與先知、即有自死而起者、彼亦不受勸也、

亞伯漢曰：「不聽摩西與先知、縱死者復活亦不可勸化矣。」

“ He said to him,‘ If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

“ Abraham said to him,‘ They do not listen to Moses and the Prophets. So they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

He said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

“ But Abraham said,‘ If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.

“ But he told him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.’”

He replied to him,‘ If they do not respond to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

“ He said to him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

Then Agrippa said to Paul,“ You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.

But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also,because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.

Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice,“ Lazarus, come forth!”And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them,“ Loose him, and let him go.”Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him.But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did.Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them,“ You know nothing at all,nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.

May God enlarge Japheth, And may he dwell in the tents of Shem; And may Canaan be his servant.”
