“财主回答说，‘我的先祖亚伯拉罕啊！他们不会听的。但如果有一个死而复活的人去警告他们，他们肯定会悔改！’

他说：‘不然，我祖亚伯拉罕啊，如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们必定会悔改。’

“财主却说：‘不，我父亚伯拉罕哪！其实如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们就会悔改。’

他說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，不是的，若有一個從死裏復活的，到他們那裏去的，他們必要悔改。』

對曰、祖亞伯拉罕乎、非也、若有由死而就之者、彼必改悔矣、

對曰、不然、祖亞伯拉罕乎、若有人死而復生以就之、彼必悔改、

對曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、不然也、若有由死復活者就之、彼必悔改、

曰「大父亞伯漢乎！斯未必可也。若有人自死者中起而往告之、則若輩必幡然悔悟矣。」

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said,‘ but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will turn away from their sins.’

And he said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

“ The rich man replied,‘ No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

And he said,‘ No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Then the rich man said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

“ He said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

人被炎熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災難的神的名，他們沒有悔改，也沒有把榮耀歸給神。第五位天使把碗傾倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就變成黑暗。人因疼痛而咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的神，也沒有為他們的行為悔改。

你們要結出果子來，和悔改的心相稱。不要自己心裏說：『我們有亞伯拉罕為祖宗。』我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。

他就喊着說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，可憐我吧！請打發拉撒路來，用指頭尖蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭，因為我在這火焰裏，極其痛苦。』

我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都照樣要滅亡！」
