“财主回答说，‘我的先祖亚伯拉罕啊！他们不会听的。但如果有一个死而复活的人去警告他们，他们肯定会悔改！’

“财主却说：‘不，我父亚伯拉罕哪！其实如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们就会悔改。’

對曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、不然也、若有由死復活者就之、彼必悔改、

曰「大父亞伯漢乎！斯未必可也。若有人自死者中起而往告之、則若輩必幡然悔悟矣。」

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said,‘ but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

人被高熱燒烤，就褻瀆那有權柄掌管這些災難的神的名，並不悔改，把榮耀歸給他。第五位天使把碗倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就黑暗了。人因為痛苦就咬自己的舌頭。他們又因為所受的痛苦和所生的瘡，褻瀆天上的神，並不為自己所作的悔改。

應當結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱；你們心裡不要說：‘我們有亞伯拉罕作我們的祖宗。’我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起後裔來。

就喊著說：‘我祖亞伯拉罕啊，可憐我吧！打發拉撒路來用指頭蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭吧！因為我在這火燄裡非常痛苦。’

不是的，我告訴你們，你們若不悔改，也都要這樣滅亡。”
