家宰意謂、主奪我職、我將何為乎、鋤無力、乞則恥、

操會者意謂、主奪我操會、將若何、鋤無力、乞可恥、

司事者心內云、主人奪我司事之職、將如何、鋤田則無力、乞食則可恥、

掌家自思曰：「主免吾職、將如之何？耕既無力、丐又無顏。

“ The manager said to himself,‘ What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg—

“ The manager thought to himself,‘ Now what? My boss has fired me. I don’t have the strength to dig ditches, and I’m too proud to beg.

“ Then the manager said to himself,‘ What will I do since my master is taking the management away from me? I’m not strong enough to dig; I’m ashamed to beg.

And the manager said to himself,‘ What am I to do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig; I am ashamed to beg.

“ Then the steward said within himself,‘ What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.

“ Then the manager said to himself,‘ What should I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I’m not strong enough to dig; I’m ashamed to beg.

Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

Then the manager said to himself,‘ What should I do, since my master is taking my position away from me? I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m too ashamed to beg.

“ The manager said within himself,‘ What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: and the rich man also died, and was buried.

Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; And the idle soul shall suffer hunger.

He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become a son at the last.

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

What will ye do in the day of solemn assembly, and in the day of the feast of Jehovah?

I went by the field of the sluggard, And by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, The face thereof was covered with nettles, And the stone wall thereof was broken down.Then I beheld, and considered well; I saw, and received instruction:Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep;So shall thy poverty come as a robber, And thy want as an armed man.

The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

The desire of the sluggard killeth him; For his hands refuse to labor.There is that coveteth greedily all the day long; But the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.

and a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, full of sores,

the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits?

For we hear of some that walk among you disorderly, that work not at all, but are busybodies.

And a certain man that was lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns; But the path of the upright is made a highway.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the winter; Therefore he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.

Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, And look well to thy herds:For riches are not for ever; And doth the crown endure unto all generations?The hay is carried, and the tender grass showeth itself, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in.The lambs are for thy clothing, And the goats are the price of the field;And there will be goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, And maintenance for thy maidens.

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way; A lion is in the streets.As the door turneth upon its hinges, So doth the sluggard upon his bed.The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish; It wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit Than seven men that can render a reason.

but rise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
