「但是亞伯拉罕卻說，『他們可以聽從摩西和眾先知的話呀！』

亞伯拉罕說：「他們有摩西和神言人，讓他們聽他們吧。」

「但是亞伯拉罕說：『你的兄弟們有摩西和先知們，讓你的兄弟們聽從他們吧。』

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

“ The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

“ Search from the book of the Lord, and read: Not one of these shall fail; Not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.

But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments.

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.“ I do not receive honor from men.But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
