冥頑何足訓。世人反稱智。

嗟爾忘本者。庶幾知怵惕。莫令我震威。將爾歸消滅。我怒爾誰救。我誅爾誰活。

咄咄富人、爾其休矣、災禍將臨爾身、爾盍哀號痛哭乎！爾之財帛朽矣、爾之衣服蝕矣、爾之金銀銹矣。金銀之銹、將為爾罪之鐵證、而成爾體之烙印。哀哉、爾平生所積之寶、適足以為末日積怒耳。工人為爾收穫莊稼、爾竟欺之、而不予工資。此所欠之工資、亦將為工人鳴冤、且其聲已上達萬軍主宰之耳矣。爾在世時、飽暖逸樂、窮奢極侈、以奉爾身；不敬天主、縱情恣慾、以快爾志。爾顛倒黑白、定彼仁者之罪而殘殺之、而仁者固不爾抗也。凡我兄弟、應安心忍耐以俟主來。夫農夫之望收穫嘉穀、必須弗助弗忘、以待秋霖春雨之膏澤也。

且爾等於重重困辱憂患之中、仍能堅忍不拔、篤信不移、此尤為吾儕之所誇耀於天主眾會者也。蓋天主公平之睿斷、於此已見端倪。正惟爾等為天主之國受苦、是天主以爾等為克承其國也。故今之加爾以困辱者、天主亦將報之以困辱；爾今遭受困辱、天主必賜爾於主耶穌自天顯示之日、與吾儕同受康寧；公義所在、有不得不然者焉。主之臨也、將有無數大能天神衛之、於烈燄中行施報應。凡不識天主、不願服膺吾主耶穌基督之福音者、皆將受刑、必至永遠沉淪、自絕於主之聖顏及其威光。主臨之日、一切諸聖、皆當映其光輝、凡信之者、皆當彰其大德；是乃吾等之所傳、而爾等之所信也。

予語爾、若非盡償所負、莫得而出獄也。』

烈日以曝之、毒熱以薰之、而草槁矣、而花落矣、而其美亡矣。富貴之終歸衰落亦復如是。身處逆境而能堅忍自守者乃為有福之人。蓋經試練而不渝者；必獲生命之冠、此固天主所許於其孝愛之子也。

遂群就天戮；而善者則享永生。』

於是惑眾之妖魔乃被投入硫火池中、與獸及偽先知朝暮受刑、永世靡已。

惡者篤於惡、邪者篤於邪、義者篤於義、聖者篤於聖。
