亞伯拉罕說：‘孩子，你應該回想你生前享過福，同樣拉撒路受過苦，現在他在這裡得安慰，你卻要受苦了。

亞伯拉罕說：「孩子，你該回想你一生受盡了你的美物，而拉撒路也照樣受盡了禍患；如今他在這裏得慰藉，你倒受慘苦了！

「可是亞伯拉罕說：『孩子啊，你當想起，你一生怎樣享了你的福，而拉撒路怎樣受了苦；但如今他在這裡受到安慰，你卻在痛苦中。

亞伯漢曰：「兒乎、當憶汝生前如何享樂、辣柴魯如何受苦、今則彼見慰、而汝受罪矣。

“ But Abraham replied,‘ Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

“ But Abraham replied,‘ Son, remember what happened in your lifetime. You received your good things. Lazarus received bad things. Now he is comforted here, and you are in terrible pain.

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.

“ But Abraham said to him,‘ Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish.

“‘ Son,’ Abraham said,‘ remember that during your life you received your good things, just as Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.

But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted, and thou art in anguish.

“‘ Son,’ Abraham said,‘ remember that during your life you received your good things, just as Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus likewise bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.

“ But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish.

“不过富有的人，你们有祸了，因为你们已经得到了你们的安慰。

耶和华啊，求你用手使我脱离世人——他们只在今生有份：你用你所储藏的填满他们的肚腹；他们也因有儿女而满足，还把剩余的留给他们的幼儿。

如果你的一只脚使你绊倒，就把它砍掉！对你来说，缺一只脚进入永生，要比双脚齐全被丢进地狱，到那永不熄灭的火里好多了。

你们不要爱世界，也不要爱世界上的事物。如果有人爱世界，父的爱就不在他里面了。

免得有人在这些患难中动摇。因为你们自己知道，我们要受患难是注定的。

我把这些事告诉了你们，好让你们在我里面有平安。在世上你们有患难，然而你们要鼓起勇气！我已经胜过了这世界。”

他们的结局就是灭亡；他们的神就是自己的私欲；他们的荣耀在自己的羞耻之中；他们所思想的都是地上的事。

“至于你，他的继位人伯沙撒啊！你虽然知道这一切，自己的心却不降卑，反而对天上的主高举自己，让人把他殿中的器皿带到你面前来，你和你的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒；你称赞那些不能看、不能听、不能知——用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明，却不尊崇那位掌握你的气息、掌握你一切道路的神。

坚固门徒们的心，鼓励他们持守信仰，说：“我们进入神的国，必须经过很多患难。”

我对他说：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他就对我说：“这些人都是从大患难中出来的。他们用羔羊的血洗净了自己的袍子，使它们洁白了。

原来属肉体的思想是敌对神的，因为它不服从神的律法，其实也不能服从；

他们的眼睛因体胖而凸出，心里的妄想四处泛滥。

看哪，恶人就是这样——他们总是生活安稳，财富增添。即使我保持心纯洁，洗净双手表明清白，也都是徒然的！我终日遭受击打，每天清晨遭受责备。如果我这样说话，就是对你这一代的儿女背信了。我思想，要明白这事，这在我眼中实在困惑；直到我进了神的圣所，才明白他们的结局：你确实把他们放在易滑之地，使他们仆倒灭亡。他们怎么在一瞬间就成了废墟呢？他们被恐怖的事彻底扫除！

他们以为自己的家必存到永远，他们的住所必存到万代；他们用自己的名字给土地命名。

财主在阴间的痛苦中，举目远远地望见亚伯拉罕，又望见拉撒路在他怀里，

我曾看到恶人的强横，像本地青翠的树那样蔓延；但他很快就消逝了，看哪，他不复存在！虽然我寻找他，却找不到。

当夜，迦勒底人的王伯沙撒被杀了。

他宁愿选择与神的子民同受虐待，也不愿享受暂时的罪中之乐。

又有一个穷人，名叫拉撒路，满身脓疮，被放在财主的门口，
