“天国近了，你们应当悔改！”

你们出去，究竟是要看什么？要看先知吗？我告诉你们，是的，他比先知大多了。经上记着说：‘我要差遣我的使者在你前面预备道路’，所说的就是这个人。我告诉你们，凡妇人所生的，没有一个大过约翰的；然而神国里最小的比他还大。”众百姓和税吏既受过约翰的洗，听见这话，就以神为义；

腓力找着拿但业，对他说：“摩西在律法上所写的和众先知所记的那一位，我们遇见了，就是约瑟的儿子拿撒勒人耶稣。”

随走随传，说‘天国近了！’

从那时候，耶稣就传起道来，说：“天国近了，你们应当悔改！”

约翰下监以后，耶稣来到加利利，宣传神的福音，

从撒母耳以来的众先知，凡说预言的，也都说到这些日子。你们是先知的子孙，也承受神与你们祖宗所立的约，就是对亚伯拉罕说：‘地上万族都要因你的后裔得福。’

说：‘就是你们城里的尘土黏在我们的脚上，我们也当着你们擦去。虽然如此，你们该知道神的国临近了。’

但神曾藉众先知的口，预言基督将要受害，就这样应验了。

要医治那城里的病人，对他们说：‘神的国临近你们了。’

又差遣他们去宣传神国的道，医治病人，

亚伯拉罕说：‘若不听从摩西和先知的话，就是有一个从死里复活的，他们也是不听劝。’”

亚伯拉罕说：‘他们有摩西和先知的话可以听从。’

若这样由着他，人人都要信他，罗马人也要来夺我们的地土和我们的百姓。”

法利赛人彼此说：“看哪，你们是徒劳无益，世人都随从他去了。”

耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂里教训人，传天国的福音，医治百姓各样的病症。

那人出去，倒说许多的话，把这件事传扬开了，叫耶稣以后不得再明明地进城，只好在外边旷野地方。人从各处都就了他来。
