若爾於屬人者而不忠、誰以屬己者與爾耶、

若爾於屬他人者不忠、誰以屬己者予爾、

處理他人之事、猶不克盡職、誰復授爾以切身之事耶？

And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

Suppose you have not been worthy of trust in handling someone else’s property. Then who will give you property of your own?

And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

And if you haven’t been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you your own?

If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

And he called ten of his own slaves and gave them ten minas, and said to them,‘ Do business with this money until I come back.’But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We do not want this man to reign over us.’When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be summoned to him so that he would learn how much they had made by the business they had done.The first slave appeared, saying,‘ Master, your mina has made ten minas more.’And he said to him,‘ Well done, good slave; since you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to have authority over ten cities.’The second one came, saying,‘ Your mina, master, has made five minas.’And he said to him also,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’And then another came, saying,‘ Master, here is your mina, which I kept tucked away in a handkerchief;for I was afraid of you, because you are a demanding man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.’He* said to him,‘ From your own lips I will judge you, you worthless slave. Did you know that I am a demanding man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow?And so why did you not put my money in the bank, and when I came back, I would have collected it with interest?’And then he said to the other slaves who were present,‘ Take the mina away from him and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’And they said to him,‘ Master, he already has ten minas.’‘ I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.

“ For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them.To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey.The one who had received the five talents immediately went and did business with them, and earned five more talents.In the same way the one who had received the two talents earned two more.But he who received the one talent went away and dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money.“ Now after a long time the master of those slaves* came and* settled accounts with them.The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying,‘ Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have earned five more talents.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’“ Also the one who had received the two talents came up and said,‘ Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have earned two more talents.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’“ Now the one who had received the one talent also came up and said,‘ Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed.And I was afraid, so I went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you still have what is yours.’“ But his master answered and said to him,‘ You worthless, lazy slave! Did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter seed?Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest.Therefore: take the talent away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’“ For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.

“ Yet she does not know that it was I myself who gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, And lavished on her silver and gold, Which they used for Baal.

You took some of your clothes, made for yourself high places of various colors, and committed prostitution on them, which should not come about nor happen.You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images so that you might commit prostitution with them.Then you took your colorfully woven cloth and covered them, and offered My oil and My incense before them.Also My bread which I gave you, fine flour, oil, and honey with which I fed you, you would offer before them for a soothing aroma; so it happened,” declares the Lord God.“ Furthermore, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your obscene practices a trivial matter?You slaughtered My children and offered them to idols by making them pass through the fire.

“ But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.For we are strangers before You, and temporary residents, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy name, it is from Your hand, and everything is Yours.

to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

He said,“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
