歸家、集其友與鄰謂之曰、爾與我同樂、以亡羊已得矣、

就请朋友邻舍来，对他们说：‘我失去的羊已经找着了，你们和我一同欢喜吧！’

因我此子、死而復生、失而又得也、遂與眾同樂、

我迷失道途、猶如亡羊、求主尋主之僕以歸、因我不忘主之誡命、

我告爾、有一罪人悔改、則在天主使者前、亦為之喜、○

爾素如迷失之羊、今歸於爾靈之牧者、爾靈之監督矣、

娶新婦者即新郎、新郎之友、立而聽之、因聞新郎之聲、則喜、今我之喜滿矣、

故我儕於諸患難窘迫之中、念兄弟之信、則因爾受慰、爾若信我主而堅立、我儕則生矣、我儕在天主前、為爾甚樂、將何以祝謝天主乎、

爾曹愛耶路撒冷者、當與之同樂、為之欣喜、凡爾昔為耶路撒冷悲哀者、今當與之共歡喜、耶路撒冷深受慰藉、大得榮光、爾亦足以同享歡暢、若嬰兒之得乳哺、原文作使爾享其慰藉之乳而飽哺其榮光之盛而樂

既至、見天主之恩甚喜、乃勸眾堅心從主、

我告爾有一罪人悔改、則在天亦為之喜、較為九十九不須悔改之義人、喜尤大也、

我以爾之信為奉獻之祭祀、即我舍命流血、以我血為灌奠、我亦樂之、且與爾同樂、

忽有眾天軍偕天使、讚美天主云、在上榮光歸天主、在地和平、人蒙喜悅、或作在地蒙悅之人共享和平

於是教會送之、乃經腓尼基、撒瑪利亞、述異邦人歸主之事、諸兄弟大喜、

我所愛所慕之兄弟、爾為我之喜樂、我之冠冕、我所愛者乎、爾當信主而堅立、

蓋我儕所望所喜所誇之冕何哉、豈非爾曹於我主耶穌基督降臨時、得立於其前乎、

爾遵行我所命爾者、即為我友、

爾素非為民、今為天主之民、昔未蒙憐恤、今已蒙憐恤、○
