Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God,“ rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?

But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.

“ Listen to Me, house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

For as a young man marries a virgin, So your sons will marry you; And as the groom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you.

Say to them,‘ As I live!’ declares the Lord God,‘ I take no pleasure at all in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then should you die, house of Israel?’

The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

And Isaiah is very bold and says,“ I was found by those who did not seek Me, I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me.”But as for Israel, He says,“ I have spread out My hands all day long to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

I will rejoice over them to do them good and will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and all My soul.For this is what the Lord says:‘ Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am going to bring on them all the good that I am promising them.

and bring the fattened calf, slaughter it, and let’s eat and celebrate;for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.

And He will arise and shepherd His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will remain, Because at that time He will be great To the ends of the earth.

Jesus* said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.Do you not say,‘ There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white for harvest.

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ”

And He said to him,“ Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom He richly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His mightwhich He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,and asked for letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them in shackles to Jerusalem.Now as he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him;and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”And he said,“ Who are You, Lord?” And He said,“ I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,but get up and enter the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.”The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision,“ Ananias.” And he said,“ Here I am, Lord.”And the Lord said to him,“ Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.”But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints in Jerusalem;and here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name.”But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”

looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And they will call them,“ The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord”; And you will be called,“ Sought Out, A City Not Abandoned.”

for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sakes.

who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

Behold, the Lord God will come with might, With His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His compensation is with Him, And His reward before Him.Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in the fold of His robe; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
