因为我这儿子是死而复活、失而又得的。’他们就欢乐起来。

你们因着自己的过犯和罪恶，原是死的。那时你们在过犯和罪恶中行事为人，随着时代的潮流，也服从空中掌权的首领，就是现今在悖逆的人身上运行的灵。我们从前也都和他们在一起，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心意所喜好的去行；我们与别人一样，生来都是可怒的儿女。然而神满有怜悯，因着他爱我们的大爱，就在我们因过犯死了的时候，使我们与基督一同活过来，（你们得救是靠着恩典，）又使我们在基督耶稣里，与他一同复活，一同坐在天上，为的是要在将来的世代中，显明他在基督耶稣里赐给我们的恩典，是多么的丰盛。你们得救是靠着恩典，藉着信心。这不是出于自己，而是神所赐的；这也不是出于行为，免得有人自夸。我们原是神所作成的，是在基督耶稣里创造的，为的是要我们行各样的善事，就是神预先所安排的。

耶和华说：“这棵蓖麻，不是你栽种的，也不是你使它长大的，一夜长成，一夜死去，你尚且爱惜它，何况这尼尼微大城，其中不晓得分辨左右手的有十二万多人，并且有许多牲畜，我怎能不爱惜呢？”

求你使我听见欢喜和快乐的声音，使你所压伤的骨头可以欢呼。

蒙耶和华赎回的人必归回，必欢呼地来到锡安；永远的喜乐必临到他们的头上；他们必得着欢喜和快乐，忧愁和叹息都必逃跑了。

谁是智慧人，让他明白这些事吧！谁是有见识的人，让他领会这一切吧！因为耶和华的道路是正直的，义人要行在其中，恶人却必在其上绊倒。

绝不可能！神总是诚实的，人却是虚谎的，正如经上所记：“你在话语上，显为公义；你被论断时，必然得胜。”

人子来了，又吃又喝，你们说：‘你看，这人贪食好酒，与税吏和罪人为友。’

使外族人因着所蒙的怜悯荣耀神；如经上所记：“因此我要在列邦中称赞你，歌颂你的名。”又说：“列邦啊，当与他的子民一同快乐。”又说：“万国啊，你们当赞美主；愿万民都颂赞他。”以赛亚也说：“将来必有耶西的根，就是那兴起来治理列邦的；列邦都寄望于他。”愿那赐盼望的神，因着你们的信，把一切喜乐平安充满你们，使你们靠着圣灵的大能满有盼望。

然而我们晓得，凡律法所说的，都是对在律法之下的人说的，好让每一个人都没有话可讲，使全世界的人都伏在神的审判之下。
