父亲对他说：‘孩子，你常跟我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

“父亲对他说：‘孩子啊，你一直与我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

父親對他說：『兒啊！你常和我同在，我一切所有的都是你的；

父親對他說：『兒啊！你常和我同在，我所有的一切都是你的；

父親對他說：『兒啊！你常和我同在，我所有的一切都是你的；

「父親對他說，『孩子啊！你一直在我身邊，我所有的一切都是你的。

父親對他說：‘孩子，你常跟我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

父親對他說：「孩子，你始終跟我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

「父親對他說：『孩子啊，你一直與我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

父曰、子乎、爾常偕我、我所有者、

父曰、吾子、爾常偕我、我所有者、皆為爾有、

父曰：「兒乎、汝常與予偕、予之所有、皆汝之所有也。汝弟則死而復生、失而復得、故宜歡忻鼓舞、而慶祝之。」』

“‘ My son,’ the father said,‘ you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

And he said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

“ His father said to him,‘ Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours.

“‘ Son,’ he said to him,‘ you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

And he said to him,‘ Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.

“ And he said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.

“‘ Son,’ he said to him,‘ you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

Then the father said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and everything that belongs to me is yours.

“ He said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

They are the people of Israel. They have been adopted as God’s children. God’s glory belongs to them. So do the covenants. They received the law. They were taught to worship in the temple. They were given the promises.

So here is what I ask. Did God turn his back on his people? Not at all! I myself belong to Israel. I am one of Abraham’s children. I am from the tribe of Benjamin.

“ First let the children eat all they want,” he told her.“ It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”“ Lord,” she replied,“ even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

“ The owner answered one of them.‘ Friend,’ he said,‘ I’m being fair to you. Didn’t you agree to work for the usual day’s pay?Take your money and go. I want to give the one I hired last the same pay I gave you.Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Do you feel cheated because I gave so freely to the others?’“ So those who are last will be first. And those who are first will be last.”

“ His master replied,‘ I will judge you by your own words, you evil slave! So you knew that I am a hard man? You knew that I take out what I did not put in? You knew that I harvest what I did not plant?Then why didn’t you put my money in the bank? When I came back, I could have collected it with interest.’

“ Has anyone ever given anything to God, so that God has to pay them back?”( Job 41:11)
