But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.

and return to Yahweh your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,that then Yahweh your God will release you from captivity, have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where Yahweh your God has scattered you.If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from there Yahweh your God will gather you, and from there he will bring you back.

“ Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.“ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.
