But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people— even eating with them!

法利赛人看见，就对耶稣的门徒说：“你们的老师为什么与税吏和罪人一同吃饭呢？”

众人看见，都私下议论说：“他竟然到罪人家里去住宿。”

请耶稣的法利赛人看见这事，心里说：“这人若是先知，一定知道摸他的是谁，是个怎样的女人；她是个罪人哪！”

人子来，也吃也喝，你们又说这人贪食好酒，是税吏和罪人的朋友。

说：“你竟进入未受割礼之人当中，和他们一同吃饭！”

法利赛人和文士就向耶稣的门徒发怨言说：“你们为什么跟税吏和罪人一同吃喝呢？”

从雅各那里来的人未到以前，他和外邦人一同吃饭，及至他们来到，他因怕奉割礼的人就退出，跟外邦人疏远了。

我先前写信告诉过你们，不可与淫乱的人交往。此话不是泛指这世上所有行淫乱的，或贪婪的，勒索的，或拜偶像的；若是这样，你们非离开这世界不可。但现在，我写信告诉你们，若有称为弟兄的人却仍犯淫乱，或贪婪，或拜偶像，或辱骂，或醉酒，或勒索，这样的人不可跟他交往，就是跟他吃饭都不可以。

他对父亲说：‘你看，我服侍你这么多年，从来没有违背过你的命令，而你从来没有给我一只小山羊，叫我和朋友们一同快乐。但你这个儿子和娼妓吃光了你的财产，他一回来，你倒为他宰了肥牛犊。’
